Laura Lyons

Laura Lyons (Board Chair)

Laura Lyons is the President and owner of ATech Training, a manufacturer in the automotive technology training market. She has over 28 years of manufacturing experience with a majority in management positions. Prior to ATech, Laura worked for R.A. Jones (packaging machinery manufacturer) and served in the U.S. Army (Hawaii).
Judy Wax-Brevell

Judy Wax-Brevell (Secretary)

Judy Wax-Brevell is a member of Team USA for ConsuLab working a Northwestern Territory for Sales and Consultation. She is an alumnus of University of Phoenix with a Master’s in Curriculum Design and Counseling and a current student at Western Governor's University working on her MBA. She has trained at conferences across the continent for over 7 years focusing on time management in the automotive classroom and implementation of reading and writing skills in transportation technology. She is an associate member of the North American Council of Automotive Teachers.
Steve Gibson

Steve Gibson (Treasurer)

Steve Gibson became both a board member for the North American Council of Automotive Teachers, Inc. (NACAT) and a Trustee for the NACAT Education Foundation in 2013.  He is the current NACAT Board Chair and won the NACAT MVP Award, designated by the NACAT President, in 2016.  He manages all education programs and relationships for K&N Engineering. Prior to K&N, Steve has worked in retail and wholesale parts, and started out as a shop apprentice at age 16 in an independent shop. In his spare time, he enjoys land speed racing, boating, waterskiing, camping, traveling, and working on cars.
Rick Martineau

Rick Martineau

Rick Martineau entered the industry in 1976 and has been a member of North American Council of Automotive Teachers, Inc. (NACAT) since 1994. During that time he has served as a board member for NACAT for multiple terms. Currently, he is both a board member for NACAT (2015-2018) and a NACAT Education Foundation trustee. With regard to NACAT and its annual conference, Rick states "I attended my first NACAT conference as a presenter in Edmonton in 1994. I was impressed to find so many others that cared about automotive education like myself. I became a member soon after. I always get a lot out of each conference through seminars and conversations with other attendees. The annual conference has been my main source of professional development since becoming a member."
