Casey Moir Wins 1st Runner-Up Gates Corporation Conference Attendance Award!

Bobby Bassett (Left), Gates Corporation Manager of Training North America, presents the 2011 1st Runner-Up Gates Corporation Conference Attendance Award to Casey Moir (Right) from Saddleback College. Casey Moir of Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, California was presented the first runner-up 2011 Gates Corporation NACAT Conference Attendance Award on Thursday July 21, 2011.  The award was bestowed by NACAT Education Foundation Board Chair-Person, and Gates Corporation Manager of Training North America, Bobby Bassett.

Casey is a devoted educator who had taught at El Toro High School (Lake Forest, CA) since 2008 while also serving as an adjunct at Saddleback since 2007.  He had endorsements from co-workers at both schools who attested NACAT could benefit from Casey as much as Casey could benefit from NACAT.

The 2011 NACAT Conference was the first Casey was able to attend.  He stated that he knew attending the conference “would benefit me greatly because I feel I could get a better grasp of the industry of teaching auto shop by meeting other professionals and learning from them.”

The annual Gates Corporation NACAT Conference Attendance award provides $1000 to the first runner-up towards offsetting NACAT conference fees, travel and lodging expenses.  NEW to 2012, the award will also fund a 1-year NACAT membership or renewal (a $50 value).  If you want a chance to be the 2012 winner, apply today!
