Bobby Bassett (Left), Gates Corporation Manager of Training North America, presents the 2011 Gates Corporation Conference Attendance Award to Timothy J. Campbell (Right) from Wenatchee Valley Technical Skills Center.Timothy J. Campbell of Wenatchee Valley Technical Skills Center in Wenatchee, Washington, was presented the first place 2011 Gates Corporation NACAT Conference Attendance Award during the awards banquet at the 38th annual NACAT Conference.  Gates Corporation Manager of Training North America, and NACAT Education Foundation Board Chair-Person, Bobby Bassett, conferred the award.

Tim has taught at Wenatchee Valley Tech since its inception in 1997 when he started the program with a $2000 budget.  Although the program flourished and expanded to two instructors to educate sixty students, the recent economic turndown left Mr. Campbell the single instructor responsible for up to 50 students.
Tim states that the award helped him to “stay updated technically “ and that doing so directly positively affects his students.  Without the Award, he would not have been able to attend the 2011 NACAT Conference at Red River College (Winnipeg, Manitoba).

The annual Gates Corporation NACAT Conference Attendance award provides $1500 to the winner towards offsetting NACAT conference fees, travel and lodging expenses.  NEW to 2012, the award will also fund a 1-year NACAT membership or renewal (a $50 value).  If you want a chance to be the 2012 winner, apply today!
