NACAT Georgia Receives Gates Corporation NACAT State Chapter Assistance Award |
|
Thanks to the help from the Gates Corporation, NACAT/GA will continue to be a plus to instructors because of networking and creativity, and opportunities for industry to help us reach our goal of producing successful young people. State conferences are only successful when we can pull together, even in this tough economy and see that others instructor’s students are the same as ours and we all have hurdles to overcome. But with help from the others in our state its worth it to come down for a long weekend to refresh and look forward to new teaching and having the knowledge that others will support you.
This year’s conference September 23rd through the 25th, will be hosted at Savannah Technical College, in Savannah Georgia. Presenters like: Toyota, NAPA training, Snap-on and more will provide training. Giving us enough knowledge to bring back to the students this training will have sessions on Thursday the 24th continuing on until Friday at lunch. A trade show (possible attendees: Hunter, Snap-on, Mitchell1 to name a few) will begin about 12:30PM Friday and participants will receive a “goodie bag” at the end along with a certificate proving attendance. NACAT/GA has always been concerned with equipping instructors with all the necessary tools to make teaching easier and more enjoyable.
The Gates Corporation is proud to provide NACAT State Chapters the opportunity to apply for the “Gates State Chapter Assistance Grant” for the 2010 calendar year. The intent of this Grant is to provide assistance to the State Chapters by helping to offset the substantial cost incurred while hosting a state conference for its automotive educators.
