NACAT Education Foundation

This award is offered and selected through the NACAT Education Foundation committee and is presented at the annual NACAT Conference and Awards Dinner. There is no application process. This award goes to one of the nations' top teachers for excellence in automotive repair instruction. Selection criteria for the Educator of the Year award requires that a master automotive technician excel on all ASE automotive tests, including A1-A8 (Engine Repair, Automatic Transmission/Transaxle, Manual Drive Train and Axles, Suspension and Steering, Brakes, Electrical/Electronic Systems, Heating and Air Conditioning, Engine Performance) and the L1 (Advanced Engine Performance Exam). The winning educator receives a check for $500 along with a recognition certificate and a one-year extended subscription to Mitchell 1 OnDemand5 Repair software. In addition, Mitchell 1 provides roundtrip airfare and accommodations for the winner and a guest to attend the NACAT Conference and Awards Dinner.
